Job summary

BlueFox Engineering is seeking a Trenchless Crossing Inspector for field-based HDD projects, with extended travel to remote locations year-round. The role involves on-site accommodations, 12-hour shifts, and close coordination with the engineering team.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication, technical knowledge of pipeline construction, and solid construction management skills to ensure safety, quality and timely reporting across sites in Canada.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication; proficient with MS Office.
• Technical knowledge of pipeline construction and HDD.
• Construction management skills: cost, schedule, quality, safety.
• Experience performing daily monitoring and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Inspection and supervision of HDD construction projects.
• Field reconnaissance of potential crossing locations – pipeline route and workspace scouting.
• Pre-construction planning in coordination with the engineering team.
• Construction site safety management and daily reporting.
• Detailed construction monitoring and reporting.
• Liaison with regulatory bodies, clients, contractors and BlueFox engineering team.
• Assist crossing and pipeline contractors with construction related issues (troubleshooting, problem solving).
