Job summary

Ambipar Response Canada Inc. in Calgary seeks an Environmental Consultant to support environmental projects across Alberta, primarily field-based with travel.

You will assist with site assessments, groundwater monitoring, reclamation, data collection, and reporting while collaborating with experienced professionals. This role offers hands-on field experience and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Reclamation, or related discipline.
• Minimum 1 year of environmental field experience.
• Valid Class 5 driver's license.
• Willingness to travel for fieldwork.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Knowledge of Alberta environmental regulations is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Support environmental projects, including Phase II and Phase III Environmental Site Assessments.
• Assist with groundwater monitoring and environmental sampling.
• Conduct site assessments and field investigations, and collect data.
• Assist with reclamation, remediation, and environmental restoration activities.
• Support field activities such as tree planting and site reclamation.
• Maintain accurate field notes, records, and project documentation.
• Assist with project planning, reporting, and technical documentation.
• Ensure project activities meet client, regulatory, and safety requirements.
• Follow company health, safety, and environmental procedures.
