Job summary

A community-focused agency in Canada is seeking a Child & Family Services Worker to manage case loads and work with families in child protection. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, compiling case particulars, and facilitating community workshops. The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor of Social Work Degree and has experience or training in child welfare. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of First Nations culture are assets. Overnight travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in child welfare preferred, or a combination of experience and training.
• Working knowledge of CFS legislation, standards and issues.
• Knowledge of Child & Family Services Information System (CFSIS) an asset.

Responsibilities

• Manage a case load and conduct interviews and assessments.
• Compile case particulars for Court and investigate child protection issues.
• Develop and facilitate workshops, community education, and networking.
