Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Fence Installer to join our field team and support customer sites with fence installations and related products. You will follow directions from leadership and use hand and power tools to prepare, remove, and install fences per spec requirements.

This is a physically demanding, outdoor role in varying weather conditions. You will safely set up equipment, complete operational paperwork, and maintain a professional, customer-focused demeanor while meeting tight

Qualifications

• Ability to take direction and supervision.

• Excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge of general tools and equipment.
• Physical ability to lift 50-80 lbs.
• Must have own transportation.

Responsibilities

• Safely setting up and taking down fence and associated products at customer sites.
• Completing operational paperwork (JHA’s reports, truck inventory logs, site checklists).
• Taking direction from Lead Fence Technician/Operations Manager.
• Assisting in navigating to sites to ensure timely arrival.
• Working in a safe and productive manner, remaining cognizant of site safety.
• Maintaining a professional appearance and environment.

You will take direction to help prepare jobsites and use hand and power tools to prepare, remove and install all types of fences per spec requirements. As a field employee you are the face of the company and we rely on you to maintain a sense of professionalism and focus on customer service, even while under pressure to meet tight deadlines and strict security requirements. This is a physically demanding job that is mostly working outside in various weather conditions. Complete training will be provided to the successful candidate.Position Responsibilities:• Safely setting up and taking down fence and associated products at customer sites• Completing operational paperwork (JHA’s reports, truck inventory logs, site checklists, etc.) as directed• Taking direction from Lead Fence Technician/Operations Manager• Assisting in navigating to sites to ensure the crew arrives in the safest and most expedient way possible• Working in a safe and productive manner, remaining constantly cognizant of site safety• Ensuring workplaces and company vehicles are clean and free of garbage and hazards• Always acting in a professional manner with fellow employees and customers• Maintaining a professional appearanceRequirements:Skills & Experience:• Ability to take direction and supervision• Motivation to “get the job done” even when managing a heavy workload and tight deadlines• Ability to accurately and thoroughly complete paperwork• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with others• Knowledge of general tools and equipment (drills, power washers, post driver, banding equipment, etc.)• Ability to physically handle (lift, carry, etc.) heavy fence panels (approx. 50-80 lbs.)• Must have own transportation• Experience operating a fork-lift and a one-ton truck preferred but not mandatoryPhysical Demands:Must be able to bend, squat, crouch and/or reach and lift up to 50 pounds or more, as required by the job. Some Sunbelt jobs may require driving for long periods of time, loading and unloading heavy equipment, performing work in extreme weather conditions including rain, wind or excessive temperatures and/or night and weekend work.
