Job summary

York Precast Inc. Production Facility is seeking a Precast Fabricator (Assembly) to support safe and efficient production of precast and prestressed concrete products for commercial, residential, and industrial construction.

You will perform hands-on fabrication tasks including forming, reinforcing, pouring, finishing, and maintaining a safe workspace. Responsibilities include forming, reinforcing, pouring, finishing, and preparing products for storage, while meeting daily production goals with

Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ year in precast concrete or related manufacturing.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive tasks.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work at heights with fall protection.

Responsibilities

• Assist with production of precast and prestressed concrete products.
• Prepare production forms and molds (cleaning, oiling, setup).
• Place reinforcing steel, embeds, and connection hardware as required.
• Assist with pouring, vibrating, finishing, and curing concrete.
• Strip forms and prepare finished products for storage or shipment.
• Perform patching, grinding, and finishing work as needed.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and production equipment.
• Follow all production instructions from supervisor or lead hand.
• Maintain clean, safe, organized work area throughout the shift.
• Assist with loading/unloading and moving materials within the plant.
• Work with teammates to meet production targets and schedules.
• Cross-train to support multiple production processes.

Skills

Experience in precast/concrete

Driver's license (Alberta)

English proficiency (read/write)

Manual handling up to 50 lbs
