Job summary

Kotn in Toronto is seeking a Design Assistant to support the design team across all aspects of product design and development, including tech pack creation, sample maintenance, and research. This hands-on role reports to the Senior Designer and requires you to be in our Kotn Toronto office four to five days a week.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, 0–3 years’ experience in apparel design, and proficiency in Illustrator and Photoshop, plus basic tools like Google

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or equivalent.
• 0–3 years of experience in an apparel design environment.
• Highly proficient in Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Basic computer software skills, including Google Sheets and ChatGPT.
• Keen eye for product design details and quality.

Responsibilities

• Tech Pack Creation in our PLM system and coordinating with Senior Designer.
• Illustrator sketching with accurate technical detail.
• Organize and maintain samples, trims, lab dips, and prototypes for approval.
• Record keeping for styles and assisting with photoshoot samples.
