Job summary

Qualifications

• Fluent in English language.
• There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• Previous experience in the farming industry is not mandatory.
• Good communication skills.
• Good physical health to perform all tasks quickly, effectively, and efficiently.
• Punctuality, flexibility, accountability and ethics.
• Able to work as part of a team and adapt to outdoor farm conditions.
• Criminal record check may be required.

Responsibilities

• Plant crops and irrigate according to schedule.
• Operate farm machinery and equipment.
• Perform preventive and routine maintenance on farm tools and machinery.
• Harvest crops by hand and sort produce by size and ripeness.
• Inspect crops for growth, health issues, pests or diseases.
• Monitor irrigation and soil moisture to meet crop needs.
• Direct and supervise casual/seasonal help during planting and harvesting.
• Maintain farm cleanliness and keep daily progress reports.
• Keep records of pesticide use and yields.
• Protect crops from weeds and pests using appropriate measures.
