Job summary

EcoLogic Horticulture Ltd. in Strathmore, AB is seeking a General labourer – farm to join our team. This role is available as Seasonal employment or Full time, with shifts including Day, Evening, Weekend, and other flexible times.

The candidate will grade vegetables and fruits, plant, cultivate, irrigate, weed, operate and maintain farm machinery, and ensure product quality for market readiness.

Qualifications

• Fluent English language.
• No formal education requirements.
• 7 months to less than 1 year of related experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Flexible; good team player.
• Able to work long hours outdoors.
• Able to work in wet/damp, dusty, hot, and cold/refrigerated conditions.

Responsibilities

• Grade vegetables and fruits into different grades based on size, shape, colour and volume for market pricing.
• Plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops.
• Weed during production.
• Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
• Examine product quality and readiness for market.
