This posting will be used to fill 2 permanent full-time positions working 75 hours bi-weekly. It will establish a 12-month eligibility list which may be used to fill similar positions.

This job based in the thriving and diverse city of Whitehorse in the beautiful Yukon.

Your role

Working as a Family Support Worker, you will provide home-based support services to families and children. This position assists in strengthening the parent-child relationship by improving parenting skills. Collaborating with the assigned Social Worker, and family in devising a tailored case management plan.

Essential qualifications

  • Social Worker Degree or Social Services Diploma
  • Experience working with either children, youth and/or families

  • Experience assisting parents in learning problem-solving and coping skills by teaching and modeling appropriate and positive parenting and life skills
