Job summary

The Rural and Remote Division of Family Practice is seeking a Specialty Family Practitioner/General Practitioner to join the Coquihalla Primary Care Clinic in Merritt, BC. This role offers flexibility in hours and a supportive multi-practitioner environment.

Physicians will be able to set their priorities and have the option to rotate during ward rounds at the nearby Nicola Valley General Hospital. Compensation includes fee-for-service with potential additional remuneration according to the Rural Subsidiary Agreement.

Qualifications

• Current CPSBC License is required for practice.
• CCFP certification is necessary for family practice.
• CMPA membership is mandatory for all practitioners.

Responsibilities

• Join a multi-practitioner clinic and provide care.
• Work independently for modest overhead.
• Rotate through ward rounds/in-patient care at Nicola Valley General Hospital.

Role and Facility Information

Seeking a physician or NP to join a multi‑practitioner clinic. The clinic is a fully audited non‑profit run by Scw’exmx Health in Merritt, BC. All business considerations and benefits are taken care of by Schss. Physicians work independently for a modest overhead. Set your own hours and priorities. Physicians rotate through ward rounds/in‑patient care, generally light, at Nicola Valley General Hospital in Merritt. Lucrative ER shifts are entirely optional.

Compensation Type: Fee‑for‑Service

Benefits and Incentives

May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA) including: Retention Premium 12.50%; Retention Flat Fee $19,364; Relocation Funding Available $9,000–$15,000, depending on move location; Recruitment Incentive $15,000. Other Rural incentives are subject to change and current rates are confirmed at the time of offer.
