Job summary

Health Match BC is coordinating physician opportunities with Fraser Health Authority's Department of Addiction Medicine and Substance Use Services across the Fraser Valley and surrounding region in British Columbia. Positions include full time, part time and occasional commitments with multiple shifts such as Wednesdays and Fridays, maternity coverage for 2026-2027.

Candidates must hold an active CPSBC license; ISAM/ABAM or CCFP(AM) are assets but not required.

Qualifications

• Active medical license with CPSBC (College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC)
• ISAM or ABAM certification or CCFP(AM) are assets but not required
• Experience in addiction medicine is an asset

Role and Facility Information

Fraser Health Authority and the Department of Addiction Medicine and Substance Use Services has opportunities for physicians to join our team. Several opportunities throughout the region are available as a result of Fraser Health’s rapidly expanding addiction services. We are a close knit, collaborative and friendly group of providers who genuinely enjoy the work that we do. There are several opportunities to join our team with varying time commitments including full time, part time and occasional.

Current Opportunities

• Wednesdays: 1 regular line
• Fridays: 1 regular line & Maternity coverage from September 1st 2026 - September 1st 2027 (1 year)

Qualifications

We are looking for physicians who demonstrate an enthusiasm and passion for providing low barrier and equitable access to evidence based and evidence informed addiction medicine services.

The candidate must have an active license with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC (CPSBC). Previous experience providing addiction medicine services is an asset. ISAM or ABAM certification or CCFP(AM) are beneficial but not a requirement.
