Job description

You will be responsible for the clinical management of the patients under his/her care and work constantly towards improving the quality of patient care. In addition, he/she is expected to take on leadership roles and responsibilities as a clinical supervisor to junior doctors and other healthcare professionals such as nurses and allied health staff.

Job responsibilities
  • To oversee and be accountable for the professional activities within the Department.
  • To coordinate and work closely with wards, departments at the Hospital and other hospitals to streamline processes to achieve seamless services for our patients.
  • To review and monitor patient care in his/her Department so as to provide the highest standards of patient care.
  • To encourage a multidisciplinary approach to patient care through enhanced interdepartmental coordination and cooperation that will result in a total approach to patient care.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Possess a basic medical degree and Master of Medicine (Family Medicine) from the National University of Singapore (NUS) or equivalent qualification registrable with the Singapore Medical Council
  • Possess Fellowship of the College of Family Physicians (FCFP) qualification
  • Consultant requires a minimum of 2 years as an Associate Consultant (or equivalent) in the relevant discipline
  • Possess Full registration with the Singapore Medical Council.
  • Possess a valid practicing certificate with the Singapore Medical Council
  • Accredited and registered into the Family Physician Accreditation Board (FPAB)
  • Possess a valid Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
