Job description

The Credit Valley Family Health Team (CVFHT) is inviting applications from qualified family physicians. The successful candidate must hold a MD degree and certification in Family Medicine from the College of Family Physicians of Canada. Responsibilities will include provision of excellent comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages and clinical teaching to undergraduate and postgraduate learners.

Expectations for successful candidates:
  • Provide comprehensive family medicine to a roster of approximately 600-800 patients as a member of the FHO.
  • Provide comprehensive family medicine 4 half days/week plus evening and weekend after hours clinics on a rotating basis.
  • Possibility to obtain faculty appointment at the University of Toronto (DFCM) and engage in continuing education.
  • Involvement in the supervision and teaching of residents and other learners on a rotating basis while in clinic.
  • Encouraged to consider taking on leadership role within the FHO / FHT / FMTU / OHT as they become available.
Required qualifications:
  • Completion of a medical degree (MD) and Family Medicine residency.
  • Certification by the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC).
  • License to practice and good standing designation from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO).
  • Additional experience with research, leadership and/or quality improvement is an asset.
  • Interest and/or experience in teaching and scholarly work.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in English and experience working in digital environment with AI.
  • Proficiency in French is considered an asset.
