Mt. Uniacke Medical Clinic is seeking a full-time Family Physician to join its practice. This clinic is professionally managed and supported by friendly administrative staff. This is a group practice, with another Family Physician. The clinic is fully integrated onto the MedAccess EMR system. Small, friendly team located on the outskirts of the city. Halfway between Windsor and Halifax. There is a pharmacy co-located in the building.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Examine patients and take their histories, order diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures;
  • Advise patients on health care, health promotion, and disease prevention
  • Consultation and referral to other medical practitioners
  • Act as a patient’s advocate
  • Prescribe and administer medications and treatments, inoculations and vaccinations
  • Report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases as per Nova Scotia Public Health requirements
