Job summary

MakerKids is looking for a STEM Instructor in Toronto to lead afterschool and weekend programs for kids ages 6–13, guiding hands-on projects with Micro:bit, Scratch, Minecraft and more.

You’ll foster curiosity, adapt lessons for all levels, and communicate progress with parents. Training starts in Fall with onboarding in September, offering flexible hours and a welcoming, creative team.

Qualifications

• Experience working with kids in educational settings.
• Knowledge of text-based coding concepts.
• Familiarity with game development topics.
• Daytime availability preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Teach STEM classes to ages 6-13 with project-based activities.
• Lead projects using Scratch, Python, Roblox Studio, Unreal Engine, Unity.
• Adapt lessons for diverse skill levels.
• Communicate progress to parents.
• Create an inclusive, engaging learning environment.
