Qualifications

Job Description
Steward Supervisor – support a skilled and engaged team as Stewarding Supervisor, where your care and inspection of all flatware, tableware and kitchen equipment will ensure a superior standard.

Responsibilities
  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service while supporting fellow colleagues.
  • Follow departmental policies, procedures and service standards.
  • Train and supervise Stewarding team in following policies and procedures.
  • Supervise and maintain sanitation of kitchen equipment and other assigned areas.
  • Assign colleagues their duties.
  • Minimize loss and breakage of china, glassware and silverware.
  • Provide fast, efficient guest service and respond quickly to customer requests.
  • Ensure kitchen colleagues have dishes/silverware as required.
  • Review banquet event orders and ensure all set‑ups and supplies are in place.
  • Ensure all equipment is in working order and report any items needing repair.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies.
  • Adhere to the hotel’s vehicle handling and safety policies while driving hotel and guest vehicles.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a Stewarding environment required.
  • Valid Alberta driver’s license required.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Windows applications preferred.
  • Knowledge of chemicals and sanitation preferred.WHMIS and First Aid certified an asset.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Highly responsible & reliable.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
