Prairie South School Division #210 is seeking a Facility Operator for A.E. Peacock Collegiate in Moose Jaw.

This permanent, 1.0 FTE position offers rotating weeks of day and night shifts with specific hours: 7:00-11:30, 1:00-4:30 (Wed-Fri days); 7:00-3:00 (Sat-Sun days); 3:00-11:00 (Wed-Sun nights). The successful candidate will clean and maintain interior and exterior school facilities and grounds and assist the Head Facility Operator.

Qualifications

• Grade 10 diploma or GED required.
• Valid Fireman's certificate if required.
• Six months experience in a cleaning/caretaking role.
• Working knowledge of computers.
• Valid Class 5 driver's license.

Duties: The Facility Operator cleans and maintains the interior and exterior of school division buildings and their surrounding grounds and assists the Head Facility Operator.

Education & Qualifications:

• A minimum of a Grade 10 diploma from a recognized educational institution as approved by the Board of Education or General Educational Development (GED)
• A valid Fireman’s certificate if required by legislation
• Six (6) months experience in a cleaning/caretaking position
• A working knowledge of computers
• A valid Class 5 driver’s license

Physical Requirements: Good physical condition with theability to do heavy work is required (i.e., exerting up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally, up to 50 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects). The ability to work off lifts, in crawlspaces, attics, roofs, and ladders.

Wage & Benefits: In accordance with the current CUPE Local 5512 Collective Bargaining Agreement.Currently, this is a range of $23.26 to $25.67 per hour.
