Bunge is offering a Facility Operations Manager Trainee program in Ste. Agathe, Manitoba.

This 18-month training path blends hands-on duties with classroom and online instruction, preparing the candidate for future Facility Operations Manager roles across Bunge’s country operations. The program includes exposure to grain merchandising, logistics, HR, sales and marketing, plus opportunities to relocate as interviews occur.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two to three (2-3) years of related experience in grain handling environments.
• Post secondary degree in Agriculture or Business Administration is required or equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Facility Operations Manager in receiving, grading, cleaning, drying, blending and storing products.
• Work closely with the Facility Operations Manager and Manager Grain Operations to develop a thorough understanding of end user requirements.
• Assist with the planning and execution of all facility maintenance activities.
• Monitor profit and loss figures relating to facility operations and recommend corrective actions as needed.

A Day in the Life:

Bunge is looking for applicants for a Facility Operations Manager Trainee opportunity. The successful candidate will be responsible for learning the efficient and profitable management of a concrete grain handling facility. This trainee program includes direct work experience, classroom and on-line training, as well as a variety of hands-on experiential opportunities in the areas of grain merchandising, logistics, human resources, sales and marketing.

Positions Details:

The Facility Operations Manager Trainee role is a temporary training opportunity intended to prepare the successful candidate for a future Facility Operations Manager role with Bunge. The length of the training program will vary based upon individual; however, is typically 18 months in duration. Once the Facility Operations Manager Trainee has successfully completed the training program, the Trainee will be required to apply for Facility Operations Manager vacancies throughout Bunge’s Country Operations group. More information in regards to the Facility Operations Manager Trainee role and the requirement to relocate will be available at time of interview.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Works closely with Facility Operations Manager and Manager Grain Operations to develop a throughout understanding of end user requirements.


• Assist the Facility Operations Manager with the effective planning and execution of all facility maintenance activities.


• Monitor profit and loss figures relating to facility operations and recommend corrective action as required.

Skills/Experience Requirements:

• Demonstrated ability to supervise and motivate staff and work cooperatively with others.


• Must possess sound judgment, problem solving and decision-making abilities.


• Must have basic computer competence.


• Minimum of two to three (2-3) years of related experience, including receiving, grading, cleaning, drying, blending and storing.


• Post secondary degree in Agriculture or Business Administration.


• Equivalent combinations of education and experience that result in the required level of knowledge skill and competence will be considered.
