Position Summary

The Facility Operations Assistant Manager is a full-time position that assists the Facility Operations Manager in delivering clean and functioning facilities while providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities include maintaining club space, training team members, and supporting management in the manager’s absence. The role requires working opposite schedules of the Facility Operations Manager and flexibility to meet business needs.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist staff in maintaining locker rooms, fitness floors, common areas, and amenities.
  • Respond to member feedback promptly and follow up with solutions.
  • Support the manager with monthly and annual budget recommendations.
  • Provide ongoing training, coaching, counseling, and feedback to team members.
  • Participate in the club Safety Committee to ensure OSHA compliance.
  • Assist with recruiting and interviewing for the Operations department.
  • Attend weekly department and all-club meetings.
  • Build positive relationships with members and gather feedback.
  • Coordinate and create staff schedules.
Position Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • CPR/AED certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • At least 1 year of customer service experience.
  • Aquatic Facilities Operator Certification (AFO).
  • Certified Pool Operator license (CPO) within 3 months of hire.
  • Availability to work flexible hours to meet business needs.
Preferred Requirements
  • Experience in health and fitness operations.
  • College degree in business, hospitality, or related field.
  • Experience with building operations.
