Job summary

BGIS seeks a Facility Mechanic to service the North Bay Regional Health Centre, performing skilled tasks in installation, repair, maintenance, inspection and operation of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, environment controls and life safety systems. You will receive and act on work orders within the allotted time frame.

North Bay Regional Health Centre is climate controlled, offering a quality work environment.

Qualifications

Two or more years of experience in HVAC.
Must hold a current ODP card.
Ability to work with CFC and HFC refrigerants.
Knowledge of engineering fundamentals for effective operation of building equipment and systems.
Capable of representing BGIS to customers.
Working knowledge of CMMS systems and BAS.

Responsibilities

Test, repair, troubleshoot and calibrate HVAC and environmental controls.
Install, maintain, replace, operate and repair mechanical and electrical equipment and systems.
Ensure proper operation of systems in compliance with regulations and codes.
Test, maintain and evaluate equipment using instrumentation tools.
Operate and maintain the BAS system.
Inspect and repair pumps, fans, valves, motors, etc.
