Job summary

U-Haul in Etobicoke, Ontario is seeking a Facility Housekeeper to help keep the facility clean and inviting for customers and staff. You will perform sweeping, vacuuming, wiping, and mopping across storage areas, restrooms, and hallways, while following safety protocols.

The role supports our on-site team with reliable hours and paid holidays, vacation, and sick days for eligible employees, plus opportunities for advancement and on-the-job training.

Qualifications

• Organization skills are essential for coordinating cleaning tasks and inventory.

Responsibilities

• Provide sweeping, vacuuming, wiping, and mopping for storage areas, hallways, restrooms, and elevator areas.
• Dispose of trash and maintain cleanliness across the facility.
• Maintain and track cleaning supply inventory, requesting supplies as needed.

Work Environment

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts or machines, fumes or irritant chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing, or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves or shields.

Physical Demands

The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of remaining stationary, moving around outdoors, positioning oneself to reach objects at varying heights, and moving equipment weighing a minimum of 50lbs assisted or unassisted.
