Job description

As a Compress-Work-Week Shift Operation Technician, you are responsible for the safe and proper operation of plant utilities equipment and systems in compliance with specifications, supporting organizational objectives and company goals.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to, operating and monitoring plant utilities and facilities systems through the FMCS (Facilities Monitoring and Control System) in the control room, coordinating with relevant parties on FAB-related activities, performing pump/fan rotations for routine plant PM/CM activities, and serving as an ERT member to ensure minimal impact on FAB operations.

Responsibilities and Tasks:
  • Ensure the safe and proper operation of facilities equipment and systems.
  • Monitor facilities equipment and systems through FMCS or equivalent control systems.
  • Respond promptly to out-of-specification or abnormal condition affecting production or the site in general.
  • Escalate out-of-specification or abnormal conditions to relevant parties in a timely manner.
  • Restore facilities services quickly to minimize interruptions to production or the site.
  • Response to facilities service requests.
  • Support and implement operating procedures and risk assessments for all facilities systems and related work activities.
  • Coordinate maintenance or installation activities for operating facilities system and equipment on site.
  • Accurately pass down information to the next shift.
  • Execute shift routines and activities.
  • Assist in drafting SOPs, Checklists, and daily plant reports.
  • Follow up on incidents or service interruptions.
  • Coordinate and interface with internal and external parties for facilities operation-related activities.
  • Prioritize and organize work during the shift.
  • Serve as a member of the ERT (Emergency Response Team).
  • Co-chair Facilities Daily Operation morning meeting/pass-down with Facilities Operations Engineer.
  • Perform WAC regen and ACF backwash.
  • Complete assigned learning items and training within the stipulated time frame.
  • Review and approve work permits.
Requirements:
  • Engineering Diploma in Electronic/Electrical, Mechanical, Controls and Instrumentation, or other similar fields.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to prioritize work.
  • Able to work independently and in a team.
  • Prior facilities experience is advantageous.Willing to work any shift on a rotating schedule.
