Job summary

A renowned lodge in Jasper is seeking a Facilities Maintenance staff member for a full-time seasonal position during Spring/Summer 2026. Responsibilities include performing maintenance checks, coordinating contractors, and ensuring repairs meet building standards. Ideal candidates should have experience in plumbing, electrical work, or carpentry, along with strong time-management skills and a friendly nature. This role is suited for those who enjoy working outdoors in challenging conditions and are able to lift 50 lbs.

Qualifications

  • Excited to live and work in a remote environment.
  • Previous plumbing, electrical or carpentry experience preferred.
  • Must have a Class 5 driver's license.
  • Standard First Aid Certification required.

  • Perform daily maintenance checks.

Facilities Maintenance – Jasper Columbia Icefield

Location: Jasper, AB – Full‑time Seasonal (Spring/Summer 2026)

Pay: $24.00 /hour

Responsibilities
  • Perform daily maintenance checks
  • Complete repairs within the scope of experience/skill
  • Follow up on maintenance requests
  • Participate in seasonal annual opening and closing procedures
  • Book and coordinate contractors
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Required Skills
  • Excited to live and work in a remote (yet very social) environment
  • Mature, energetic, dependable and self‑motivated – able to complete assignments with minimal supervision
  • Previous plumbing, electrical, building and carpentry experience preferred
  • Class 5 driver’s license (unrestricted), required
  • Standard First Aid Certification required (or willing to obtain prior to beginning work)
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and capable of manual duties, required
  • Proven ability to complete minor building repairs to proper building standards/codes
  • Organizational and time‑management skills, with attention to detail
  • Employee and public‑relations skills and a friendly/cooperative nature
  • Enjoy working outdoors, even in challenging mountain weather conditions
  • Internally motivated with a consistently high level of energy
  • Ability to take initiative and follow through on tasks needing attention
  • High attention to detail
  • Enjoy working with a team in a busy, fast‑paced environment
  • Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods of time in both an indoor and outdoor environment
  • Prepared for all weather conditions (snow, rain, wind, hail)
