Job summary

A facility management company in Alberta, Canada is looking for a candidate to conduct monitoring and servicing of building facilities, support production, and coordinate maintenance. Required qualifications include a Nitec in Engineering and Facility Management, with preference for experience in facility management and knowledge of ISO standards. Candidates must be able to work on a 12-hour shift roster.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Nitec in Engineering and Facility Management qualifications.
  • Knowledge on ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 management systems is a plus.
  • Experience in facility and/or building management is preferred.
  • Working knowledge in a cleanroom environment is a plus.
  • Able to perform 12-hour shift roster (Day and Night shifts required).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine monitoring and servicing of building facilities.
  • Attend to facilities work and coordinate with contractors.
  • Provide support to production and assist in machine installations.
  • Ensure uptime operations of ACMV systems and other critical systems.
  • Handle emergency events and be part of the ERT team.
  • Coordinate with sub-contractors and local authorities on maintenance.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine monitoring, spot checks, and servicing of all building facilities such as central chiller system, cooling towers, pumps, AHU, FCU, FFU, filter replacement, compressors, BMS, plumbing, HVAC equipment and electrical system
  • Attend to all facilities work and M&E installations, and coordinate with contractors on repairing work
  • Provide support to production and assist in machine installations such as power hook-up, CDA, vacuum and process cooling water, exhaust pipe and other set-up on the production floor
  • Ensure uptime operations of ACMV systems, compressor dryer system, vacuum pump system, process chilled water and SCADA system
  • Handle emergency events and be part of the ERT team
  • Coordinate with sub-contractors, vendors and local authorities on building maintenance systems
Job Specification / Qualifications
  • Minimum Nitec in Engineering and Facility Management qualifications
  • An added advantage if you have any of the following:
  1. Knowledge on ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 management systems
  2. Experience in facility and/or building management
  3. Working knowledge in a cleanroom environment
  • Able to perform 12-hour shift roster (Day and Night shifts required)
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Able to take initiative, a “self-starter” who is able to work with minimal supervision
