FACILITIES ATTENDANT (BAND LEVEL 2)
Facilities and Technical Services

(Contractual Position to March 31, 2026)

Responsibilities
  • The Facilities Attendant is responsible for maintaining all shipping and receiving operations for the Ridge Road campus and multiple satellite locations.
  • Prepare and package items, including dangerous goods.
  • Create documentation and customer invoices, waybills and arrange transport via couriers or Canada Post.
  • Maintain and ensure accurate document control of files pertaining to shipping and receiving.
  • Set up and break down of tables, linens, podiums, equipment and accessories for building functions and events.
  • Control and maintain storeroom operations, including the delivery of paper, envelopes, letterhead and related supplies.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Experience (1-3 years) in shipping and receiving, and an inventory control environment.
  • Graduation from high school supplemented by coursework in business administration, supply chain management, or related area; or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Ability to work as a contributing member of the team; excellent time management skills; attention to detail and willingness to learn.
  • Proficiency in computer software including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Lifting or moving objects safely is required.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license as issued by the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador is required.
  • WHMIS and TDG certification considered assets.
Salary

SALARY: $43,551– $51,086 per annum (NAPE Local 7850)
