Reporting to the Manager, Research Development and working as part of the Research Development Team, the Research Grants Facilitator is responsible for leading the development, review and administration of investigator-led research at NS Health. Acting as a primary support to MD and PhD Researchers, the Facilitator will foster capacity building for research teams to enable them to achieve success in terms of grant capture, and to facilitate efficient and effective administration of research grants across the continuum e.g., from the research development/pre-award stage until research study completion. The Facilitator is responsible for supporting research in all Zones across the province and is required to independently navigate the national and international competitive grant funding process. Focused on continuous quality improvement, the Facilitator will have a strong impact on improving the grant writing and administration process with a view to identifying commercialization opportunities.
