Interweigh Systems Inc based in Markham, ON is seeking a Fabrication welder to join our team. The role requires self-motivation, good interpersonal skills, and the ability to start as soon as possible. This is a permanent, full-time position with a day shift.

The candidate will interpret welding specifications, read blueprints, operate various welding equipment, and ensure welds meet standards. LMIA approval has been obtained.

Qualifications

• Interpret welding process specifications.
• Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes.
• Examine welds and ensure they meet standards and/or specifications.
• Use oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air) (AOC).
• Determine the weldability of materials.
• Operate hoisting and lifting equipment.
• Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
• Operate brazing or soldering machines to bond metal.

• The candidate must interpret welding process specifications.
• The candidate must be able to use manual, semi-automatic, and fully automated welding equipment.
• The candidate must be able to read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes.
• The candidate will be expected to examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications.
• The candidate must be able to use oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air) (AOC)
• The candidate must determine the weldability of materials.
• The candidate must be able to use hoisting and lifting equipment.
• The candidate must be able to operate previously set-up welding machines in order to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
• The candidate must operate previously set-up brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or fill holes, indentations, and seams in metal.

• The candidate should be fluent in English language.
• There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• Candidate having experience is an asset.
• The candidate must be able to handle weight up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
• The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
• The candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate should be a good team player.

Area of specialization

• The candidate must be skilled in custom fabrication, structural construction, factory assembly, cast iron, and other metals.

• The candidate should be required to handle heavy loads as part of routine work.
