Job summary

AbbVie Westport is seeking a talented Process Scientist to join the Eyecare Technical Centre, supporting Eyecare Unit Dose, Multi Dose, and Implants Business Units. You will lead cross-functional teams to ensure timely technology transfer and launch readiness, while maintaining GMP-compliant manufacturing support and continuous process improvement initiatives.

You will drive portfolio changes, support qualification activities, and contribute to digitisation efforts across Eyecare and Implants

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline.
• Master's or PhD in Engineering, Science, or Technology is an advantage.
• End-to-end experience of product transfer and launch phases, including regulatory engagements.
• Strong technical background in pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams spanning Operations, Global Program Management, PQA, and PDS&T to ensure timely technology transfer.
• Maintain site supply readiness for new AbbVie products through major and regional launches.
• Drive data-driven root cause analysis and resolution for manufacturing issues.
• Lead complex Non-Conformance Reports within the Eyecare portfolio.
• Represent the site in customer, regulatory meetings and audits; ensure GMP compliance.
