This is a full‑time On‑site role for a Firestop Technician located in Calgary, AB, with occasional travel across Western Canada.

Responsibilities

• Read UL and ULC firestop system documentation and install firestop materials based on system designs and engineering judgement on construction and renovation projects.
• Apply firestop systems in accordance with all codes, standards and industry best practices.
• Interpret blueprints, technical documents and specifications to execute accurate installations.
• Maintain rigorous safety protocols and attention to detail while working independently or within a team.

Qualifications

• Experience with firestop system application.
• Knowledge of Canadian construction building codes and standards.
• Proficiency in handling and installing firestop materials.
• Strong attention to detail and safety protocols.
• Ability to read and interpret ULC systems, blueprints and technical documents.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Good physical condition for manual labour tasks.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in firestopping or construction is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation range of $25/𝗵𝗿 to $40/𝗵𝗿 for hours worked, based on industry experience. Benefits may be subject to a probationary waiting period.
