Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking an Experienced Production Operator - Extrusion in Truro, NS. The role starts with exposure to extrusion and related equipment, with progression toward a Production Operator within about 12 months.

This position offers a strong training path in a safe, quality-driven environment. Eligible candidates bring hands-on experience with extrusion or plastics machinery, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Complete production and quality documentation.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Participate in a structured training program to develop Operator-level knowledge and skills.

Role Overview

We're seeking individuals with experience operating or assisting with extrusion equipment, plastics processing equipment, converting equipment, or similar manufacturing machinery.

As an Experienced Manufacturing Operator, you'll begin your career in either our Tape Line or Coating Department, working alongside experienced Operators while learning the technical skills required to operate extrusion and converting equipment independently.

Through a structured training program, successful candidates will develop the knowledge and skills needed to progress into a Production Operator role within approximately 12 months.

• 12-hour rotating shifts (days and nights), including weekends
• 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM
• 8:00 PM - 8:00 AM
