Job Description

We are seeking Experienced Cooks to join our culinary team in Montréal, Canada. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining food safety standards, and contributing to menu development.

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and quality standards
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient food production and timely service
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to food safety and sanitation regulations
• Assist in menu planning and recipe development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and culinary trends
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment, ensuring proper use and cleanliness
• Manage food inventory and minimize waste
• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff
• Adapt to fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth operations

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of professional cooking experience in a restaurant or similar setting
• Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation, and presentation
• Proficiency in operating various kitchen equipment and tools
• Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
• Team player with strong communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure
• Knowledge of various cuisines and cooking styles
• Understanding of dietary restrictions and food allergens
• Culinary degree or diploma preferred
• Current Food Safety Certification required
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
• Bilingual in English and French preferred, given the job location in Montréal
