The Experienced Addictions Counsellor is a full-time, on-site role based in Lumby, BC. The counsellor provides individual and group counselling to clients experiencing substance use and related concerns, using evidence-based and culturally informed approaches. Day-to-day responsibilities include completing intake assessments, developing and updating treatment plans, maintaining accurate clinical documentation, and participating in case conferences. The counsellor facilitates educational and therapeutic groups, supports family involvement where appropriate, and collaborates with community resources to support continuity of care. This role also contributes to program development, upholds CARF standards, and helps foster a safe, inclusive, and trauma-informed treatment environment.
