Job summary

H. Coyne & Sons Ltd. in Whitehorse is seeking an Expeditor in town and driver to manage shipping and delivery tasks, coordinate orders with Shop Supervisors and Fleet Manager, and ensure accurate receipt and delivery of parts and supplies.

You must have a valid Class 5 driver’s license, at least 1 year of field experience, and be willing to work extra hours during the busy April–September season, including weekends. Salary is $26.00 per hour for a 40-hour workweek, paid under Yukon standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in the field.
• Valid Class 5 driver's license with clean driving record (3+ years driving).
• Ability to work extra hours during high season (April–September) and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Solve shipping/logistical issues.
• Receive orders from Shop Supervisor, Fleet Manager, HD Shop Manager, and others.
• Pickup orders and deliver to the requester.
• Confirm receipt and sign-off of parts and supplies.
• Prepare paperwork for Accounting Department.
• Maintain efficient process for receiving shop/office/field requests and deliveries.
• Coordinate incoming and outgoing supplies.
• Ensure clear communication with personnel, vendors, and suppliers.
• Ensure timely purchasing.
• Pickup/drop Employees from airport and provide transport as required.
• Haul recycling/garbage to proper areas/facilities.
• Assist with packing trucks for project deliveries.

Job Requirements:
Security and Safety: Drug test- Zero tolerance for drugs and alcohol; must be able to pass random drug and alcohol tests.
Knowledge and skills required:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in the field.

Duties and Main responsibilities:

• Solve shipping/logistical issues.

• Receive sign off from person placing the order confirming correct items are received.

• Coordinate incoming and outgoing supplies.
• Ensure clear communication with all personnel including employees, vendors, and suppliers.
• Ensure purchases are made in a timely manner.
• Pick up Employees from the airport and drop Employees.
• Provide transportation for Employees as required.
• Responsible for hauling recycling and garbage to proper areas/facilities.
• Assist with packing trucks for project deliveries.
