Overview
The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness, organization and presentation of the residence. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, efficiency with time management, discretion and professionalism. The ideal candidate is proactive and highly organized, ensuring the home operates smoothly and all tasks are completed to the highest standard.
Responsibilities
Household Maintenance and Cleaning
- Perform daily cleaning and maintenance of all areas, including the kitchen, floors, bedrooms, bathrooms, and living spaces.
- Provide a hotel-like environment, paying special attention to details throughout the home.
- Conduct deep cleaning tasks during the Principal's absence, such as cleaning under furniture, behind curtains, organizing drawers, detailed dusting, and addressing any acute needs of all indoor and outdoor areas.
- Daily attention to dusting in all areas.
- Maintain outdoor areas, including sweeping, cleaning furniture, windows, and ensuring outdoor equipment or appliances are in pristine condition.
- Ensure home organization of drawers, pantry, closets, garage, and other storage areas.
Laundry
- Sort all garments and linens needing to be washed. Read all labels and proceed with proper washing instructions for each.
- Garments wash on delicate, cold and hang to dry.
- Maintain closet organization.
- Iron all bed linens.
- See all laundry to completion before the end of your work day.
Kitchen
- Clean the kitchen upon arrival and re-visit for a quick tidy before leaving each day.
- Hand-wash delicate items, such as sharp knives, china, crystal, wine glasses, thermoses, pots, pans, and items with printed graphics.
- Specific care on items as needed (e.g. polish silver, proper care for cast iron cookware).
Additional Areas of Attention
- Maintain frequent cleaning and proper upkeep in the guest house and boat house.
- Sweep the dock.
- Sweep the back terrace.
- Occasionally wipe down the boat.
- Wipe down outdoor furniture daily.
- Provide pet care if needed (no pets currently in the household).
Professional Expectations
- Uphold the utmost privacy and discretion while working in the Principal's home.
- Maintain a respectful, non-intrusive presence.
- Maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion when handling sensitive information personal of the Principal.
- Professional uniform attire is appreciated. Avoid colors and patterns having a strong presence.
- Adhere to professional etiquette, including no personal phone calls, loud conversations, or distractions during work hours. Promptly clear from any areas when occupied by the Principal throughout the day in order to give privacy and respected space in their home.
- Capable of transportation to and from work (driver's license and own car required).
- Communicate proactively with the house manager to ensure all aspects of the household run seamlessly.

Compensation
Salary : $40 gross per hour at guaranteed 40 hours per week. Overtime as required.
