Job summary

Primary Care Alberta (PCA) seeks an Executive Director for Edmonton Public Health to lead population health across the Edmonton zone and help shape a modern, integrated health system. The role oversees a significant operating budget and a workforce of 1,000+ staff, driving performance improvement and evidence-based decision making.

The successful candidate will be a strategic systems thinker with proven health leadership, able to collaborate with providers, municipalities, Indigenous partners

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a healthcare profession, healthcare management or business administration is required.
• 8-10 years in a management capacity in a healthcare environment in a large, complex organization.
• Demonstrated leadership and track record in health leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic planning, governance, and operational performance for Edmonton Public Health.
• Oversee budgets, contracts and partnerships with external organizations.
• Foster collaboration with public agencies, government, communities and partners to advance population health outcomes.
