Job summary

East York East Toronto Family Resources is seeking an Executive Director to lead the organization in Toronto’s east end. You will oversee daily operations, finance, and program delivery, while aligning with the Board's governance framework and strategic plan.

The role requires senior leadership experience in non-profits, strong financial acumen, and a proven ability to cultivate community partnerships and advocate for social policy change.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading executive/senior administrative management in non-profit settings.
  • Strong governance, risk, regulatory knowledge and funder relationships.
  • Proven ability to work with a volunteer Board within policy governance.
  • Financial oversight, budgeting, and resource management skills.
  • Experience with diverse communities and social policy advocacy.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day financial and operational management following the mission and strategic plan.
  • Oversee development and implementation of policies, plans and programs.
  • Support Board operations and ensure effective governance and accountability.
  • Represent the organization to funders, partners and government entities.
  • Build partnerships and strengthen community engagement and capacity.
