Job summary

Acadia University is seeking an Executive Director, Alumni Relations to lead the University's alumni engagement portfolio and strengthen connections with alumni worldwide. Reporting to the Vice-President, External Relations, this role provides strategic direction for programs, communications, fundraising, and volunteer development, while serving as the key liaison with AAAU.

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with significant experience.
• Experience in alumni relations, advancement, fundraising, or stakeholder engagement.
• Demonstrated leadership and staff development.
• Commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work across departments and with senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for Alumni Relations and engagement programs.
• Lead liaison with the Associated Alumni of Acadia University (AAAU) and provide governance support.
• Drive alumni fundraising initiatives and donor engagement.
• Oversee strategic alumni communications across digital and traditional platforms.
• Collaborate with University recruitment and advancement initiatives.
• Lead and develop Alumni Relations staff.
