About Us

We're a small, rural Community Foundation with a big heart and an even bigger impact. We connect local generosity with local needs-funding programs, strengthening nonprofits, and inspiring community change. Our team is lean, dedicated, and powered by equal parts passion, and community spirit.

The Role

We're on the hunt for a dynamic Executive Director who can wear multiple hats-visionary, relationship-builder, fundraiser, advocate, and occasionally, chief cheerleader. If you thrive in small organizations where your ideas take flight, this is for you.

What You'll Do:
  • Lead the foundation's strategy, operations, and community impact initiatives
  • Build relationships with donors, community leaders, and partner organizations
  • Champion fundraising and donor stewardship (yes, you'll get to tell great stories)
  • Oversee grants, budgets, reporting, and governance
  • Inspire and collaborate with staff, volunteers, and the Board
  • Spot opportunities to grow resources, reputation, and impact
What You Bring (besides charm):
  • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in nonprofits, foundations, philanthropy, or community development
  • Proven success in fundraising, stakeholder engagement, and relationship-building
  • Experience working with or supporting a Board of Directors
  • Strong financial management skills (you're no stranger to budgets and balance sheets)
  • A talent for turning big ideas into practical action
  • A sense of humour and flexibility-because community work is equal parts joy and surprise
Bonus Points For:
  • Experience in rural or small community settings
  • Knowledge of Canadian charitable regulations and granting
  • Comfort with public speaking (not mandatory, but microphones will happen)
  • CFRE designation
What We Offer:
  • A meaningful leadership role where your work creates real local impact
  • A collaborative, supportive Board and team
  • Flexibility, autonomy, and room to grow the organization
  • Competitive compensation (aligned with a small-but-mighty foundation)
