Job summary

Ledcor Construction, Inc. in Fort Saskatchewan, AB is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator for a major industrial expansion project.

You will operate 5T–25T excavators, perform pre-use inspections, and follow site safety guidelines to meet project specifications. Candidates should have 3+ years of hands-on experience, GPS operation knowledge is a plus, and the ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience operating 5T to 25T excavators in a construction or industrial environment.
  • Finish grade experience is considered a strong asset.
  • Can operate equipment with and without GPS preferred.
  • Understanding of industrial site safety practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial or construction environment.
  • Valid issued government photo Identification.
  • Project-specific online orientations must be completed.

Responsibilities

  • Operate excavators ranging from 5T to 25T safely and efficiently.
  • Complete daily pre-use inspections and report deficiencies or maintenance needs.
  • Follow site-specific safety procedures and manufacturer operating guidelines.
  • Perform excavation, trenching, grading and backfilling.
  • Work closely with site supervision and ground crews to meet project specs.
  • Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance requirements.
  • Follow all Ledcor safety policies and site procedures.
  • Adhere to Ledcor, client, and regulatory health, safety, and environmental requirements.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Operate excavators ranging from 5T to 25T safely and efficiently
  • Complete daily pre-use inspections and report any equipment deficiencies or maintenance requirements
  • Follow site-specific safety procedures and manufacturer operating guidelines
  • Perform excavation, trenching, grading and backfilling
  • Work closely with site supervision and ground crews to complete work safely and according to project specifications
  • Conduct daily equipment inspections and report any maintenance requirements
  • Follow all company safety policies and site-specific procedures
  • Adhere to all Ledcor, client, and regulatory health, safety, and environmental requirements

Work Conditions
