Job Summary

The Events Coordinator ensures consistent, high-quality planning and delivery of Maverick Volleyball events by overseeing Event Leads and providing them with historical operations plans, tools, and guidance. This role ensures every event reflects the club’s mission, vision, and values while supporting growth, community engagement, and sponsor relationships. The Events Coordinator also builds, grows, and maintains the club’s volunteer database to ensure a strong and reliable pool of volunteers.

Key Responsibilities
Event Strategy & Calendar Management
  • Manage the club’s events calendar and update quarterly.
  • Recruit, assign, and supervise Event Leads for each major event.
  • Provide Event Leads with historical plans, checklists, and templates to ensure consistent execution.
Event Planning & Delivery Oversight
  • Oversee and support Event Leads during planning and execution.
  • Troubleshoot issues and ensure smooth delivery.
  • Maintain and track event materials and coordinate logistics.
Marketing & Sponsorship Coordination
  • Liaise with Marketing to align branding, communications, and promotions.
  • Support sponsorship fulfillment (e.g., logo placement, recognition, activations).
Financial Oversight & Post-Event Review
  • Monitor event budgets and approve related expenses.
  • Update and refine operations plans post-event, incorporating lessons learned and feedback.
Volunteer Engagement & Recognition
  • Build and maintain the volunteer database.
  • Recruit new volunteers and recognize contributions.
