Job summary

Bingemans in Ontario is seeking an Event Set up Crew member for seasonal, part-time work. You will support the Convention Services team with setup and tear down of function rooms, tables, chairs, drapery, and AV placement to ensure successful events.

Starting ASAP until approx. Jan 31 2027, hours vary including days, evenings, overnights and weekends. Base pay is $17.95/h plus a guaranteed gratuity rate. Accommodations are available for applicants with disabilities.

Qualifications

• Relevant work experience considered an asset.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Standing for an extended amount of time.
• Ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
• Must be consistent in making sure that detail is followed when setting up rooms.
• Ability to handle constant changes to satisfy the customer's needs.

Responsibilities

• Set up and tear down of function rooms and spaces per the event order.
• Arrange tables, chairs, stages, moveable walls and store after use.
• Set up poles and drapery for trade shows.
• Ensure proper placement of AV equipment.
• Perform other duties as required by the Convention Services Supervisor.

Within the Convention Services Team, the Event Set up Crew

is responsible for the set up and tear down of function rooms and spaces specifically tables, chairs, drapery, decorations, tablecloths and cleaning.

What will you be doing:

• Ensure that all rooms and functions are setup and completed accurately in accordance with the Event order.
• Ensure that tables, chairs, stages, moveable walls are kept in good working condition and returned to their appropriate storage place.
• Set up poles and drapery for trade shows.
• Ensure the proper placement of AV equipment.
• Perform other duties as required by the Convention Services Supervisor.

Payrate: $17.95/h as a base rate plus a guaranteed gratuity rate
