Qualifications

  • Knowledge of mental health/illness and mental health difficulties.
  • Ability to advocate on behalf of patrons.
  • Ability to adequately access public transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Connect and engage people accessing the overnight emergency shelter.
  • Assist in developing individualized planning and strategies for patrons.
  • Provide emotional support, advocacy, and goal setting.

Knowledge of issues related to poverty and homelessness

Education

Training in Peer Support Work
