Job summary

Aversan Inc in Montreal, QC seeks an Inspector – Mechanical for the evening shift (3PM-11PM) to join our quality team. You will inspect components, record results in ERP, and ensure conformance to drawings, specifications, and IPC standards.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of mechanical inspection experience, GD&T knowledge, and the ability to read engineering drawings. You will work on-site and contribute to traceability and quality improvements.

Qualifications

• Hold a DEC or DVS in a relevant technical discipline.
• 2–5 years of mechanical inspection or related experience.
• Strong reading of engineering drawings, specs and work instructions.
• Working knowledge of IPC-A-610 and IPC-A-620 where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming components, machined parts, and documentation for PO, drawings, specs, and standards.
• Maintain traceability by recording results in ERP and updating quality records.
• Verify revision levels (CFC) before inspections or approvals.
• Perform dimensional and visual inspections with vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMM where applicable.
• Check painted/plated components and verify related reports and finish requirements.
• Identify non-conformances and prepare NCRs; follow up on corrective actions.
• Verify electrical connections by checking retention, tension, and continuity per IPC procedures.
