Job summary

Bethany Calgary is seeking a part-time Health Care Aide to support residents in the Calgary, Alberta location. You will provide resident-centered care, assist with daily living activities, and document observations for the care team.

The role requires an Alberta HCA certificate and CLHA registration, with English communication skills essential. The position is evenings, part-time, temporary, with a 0.63 FTE; prior HCA experience is a plus, and safe, compassionate care is expected.

Qualifications

• Grade 10 education and Government of Alberta approved Health Care Aide certificate.
• Registered with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA).
• Previous Health Care Aide experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work effectively in English (read, write, speak).
• Excellent observation, communication and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Resident-centered care aligned with care plans and resident dignity.
• Accurate documentation of care and observations for the RN/LPN.
• Maintain safety by following guidelines and emergency procedures.
• Demonstrate Bethany’s mission and values in daily care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to adjust care plans.
