Job summary

ComForCare Home Care Saskatchewan in Yorkton, SK is seeking compassionate Caregivers / Personal Support Workers for casual shifts. You will support clients with daily living activities, mobility, meals, transportation, and companionship.

Training and ongoing support are provided, with flexible hours based on client needs. Ideal candidates have at least one year of caregiving experience, a clean background check, and a reliable vehicle.

Qualifications

  • At least one year of caregiving experience in home care, assisted living, or long-term care.
  • CCA certification is an asset.
  • Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle required.
  • Clear criminal record check including vulnerable sector check.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Compassionate, patient and respectful approach to care.
  • Dependable and able to work independently while communicating with the care team.
  • Commitment to client dignity, privacy, safety and independence.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with personal care (bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, hygiene).
  • Support safe mobility, transfers and prescribed ROM exercises.
  • Prepare meals and assist with eating as needed.
  • Help with light housekeeping and laundry.
  • Accompany to medical appointments and errands with approved transportation.
  • Provide companionship and meaningful engagement.
  • Offer respite support for family caregivers.
  • Follow care plans, document care and report changes promptly.

Pay: $16.00–$17.00 per hour, based on experience.

Your Role

Depending on each client’s care plan, you will:

  • Offer respite support for family caregivers.
  • Follow personalized care plans, document care provided, and promptly report changes or concerns.
What You Bring
  • At least one year of caregiving experience in a home care, assisted living, or long-term care setting.
  • Continuing Care Assistant (CCA) certification is an asset.
  • A valid driver’s licence and a reliable vehicle (required).
  • A clear criminal record check, including a vulnerable sector check.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • A compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to care.
  • Dependability and the ability to work independently while communicating effectively with the care team.
