Job summary

Vanderlande, a global automation and software solutions provider, is seeking a Team Lead Tax & Compliance Europe to lead the regional tax and compliance function across Europe. You will drive tax governance, risk management, and process improvements while collaborating with Group Tax, Finance, Accounting, Legal, Treasury, and local teams.

With 8+ years in tax and compliance, you will lead a team, ensure timely filings, and translate regulatory changes into practical guidance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in tax, finance, accounting, economics, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in tax, tax compliance, or related finance function in an international environment.
• Experience leading, coaching, or coordinating a team.
• Knowledge of corporate income tax, VAT, withholding tax, and general tax compliance.
• Experience working with tax authorities, auditors, external advisors.
• Experience with process improvement and standardization initiatives.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the Europe Tax & Compliance team.
• Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant execution of tax compliance and reporting.
• Coordinate corporate income tax, VAT, withholding tax, and other tax activities with Group Tax and local Finance teams.
• Support transfer pricing compliance and documentation.
• Act as key contact for tax authorities, auditors, external advisors, and internal stakeholders.
• Identify and manage tax risks and escalate issues.
• Translate changes in tax legislation into practical guidance for the business.
• Maintain and improve tax controls, documentation, and compliance processes.
• Drive standardization and process improvements.
• Identify recurring issues and implement sustainable solutions.
• Support business projects with practical tax advice.
• Contribute to finance transformation and process improvement initiatives.
• Build relationships with Finance, Accounting, Legal, Treasury, Payroll, and local teams.
• Support knowledge sharing and application of Group Tax policies.
