Job summary

LRO Staffing seeks an Estimator for a permanent, office-based role in the Tri-City area (Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge) to support ICI projects ranging from $10M to $100M. The successful candidate will lead estimating efforts for tenant improvements, light industrial and post-secondary builds.

You will work with a strong leadership group, collaborate with owners, consultants and trades, and leverage MS Office and estimating software to prepare clear, accurate numbers.

Qualifications

• Proven estimating experience with a General Contractor or Construction Manager in the ICI space.
• Experience on tenant improvements, light industrial and post-secondary projects.
• Strong communication; able to explain numbers clearly and concisely.
• Collaborative and able to work with owners, consultants and trades.
• Familiar with various project delivery methods and subtrade networks.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates for ICI projects including TI, light industrial and institutional work.
• Collaborate with owners, consultants and trades to refine bids.
• Support bid development from assumption to award and maintain records.

About the Opportunity

Parker Huggett is recruiting an Estimator for an established General Contractor and Construction Manager with a strong pipeline of ICI work across Southwestern Ontario. With more than 20 years of building in the region, our client delivers projects from $10M to $100M, ranging from complex renovations and tenant improvements to light industrial, post-secondary and ground-up institutional builds. They’re actively building bench strength to support both estimating and awarded projects. That means you’ll join a team that’s investing in its people, chasing larger pursuits and winning work in a market that keeps getting busier.

You’ll have a lot behind you in this role. A strong leadership group has been assembled to execute complex projects, and the firm has a long record of notable work across Southwestern Ontario, including post-secondary facilities, seniors and low-income housing, and institutional builds. You’ll support a growing team of experienced construction professionals in a collaborative environment where relationships matter as much as results.
