Job summary

Kubik is seeking an Estimator to join our Canada-based team in Mississauga. You will prepare estimates for branded environments from sketches or designs and work with minimal supervision to ensure quality results.

As an Estimator, you will attend pre-tender meetings, perform takeoffs, analyze tenders, consult with vendors and support project teams to deliver accurate, timely quotes in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in branded environments, trade show, retail store fixtures, construction or corporate interiors.
• Ability to read blueprints and a working knowledge of standard display building materials and techniques.
• Experience in millwork and woodworking.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Ability to read plans and specifications.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

• Attend all pre-tender meetings to prepare accurate estimates.
• Prepare takeoffs/estimates of probable costs of materials, labour and equipment.
• Prepare and follow-up on quotations and advise on tendering procedures.
• Consult with vendors regarding pricing.
• Identify the most effective way to produce/fabricate the product.
• Establish tendering process and set up cost monitoring reporting and procedures.
• Prepare and maintain a directory of product suppliers.
• Communicate with Project Managers, Account Managers and others involved in the project.
