Established Labourer
Position Responsibilities

We are looking for an individual who has experience working in labour positions. They should be a good team player, and willing to work with various work groups within parks and transportation.

Duties May Include But Are Not Limited To
  • Performs labor using hands or generally used hand tools
  • May involve the sustained operation of minor, power or electronic equipment
  • May involve sustained and/or repeated heavy physical demand
  • Knowledge of operation and maintenance of equipment
Qualifications
  • Valid Alberta Driver’s License (Class 5 minimum)
  • Standard First Aid Certificate
  • Ability to work shifts that supply 24/7 coverage
  • Experience working in a labor type position previously
  • Ability to work outdoors in all-weather environment as required
  • Small hand tools experience
  • Small equipment experience is considered an asset
  • Class III with Air Endorsement would be preferred
  • The successful candidate may be asked to undergo a physical needs assessment
  • Applicants selected for interview may be tested in some of the above qualifications and may be requested to bring a current Driver’s Abstract to the interview
Hours

The standard workweek consists of an average of 40 hours, with the specific schedule being determined by the immediate supervisor.

Compensation

Salary of $34.62 as per the CUPE Collective Agreement.
