Job summary

Alberta Health Services is seeking an experienced LPN Orthopaedic Technician for the Emergency Department in a tertiary care setting. The role involves applying and removing casts, splints, and traction devices, with ongoing assessment and documentation of patient status.

You will work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team, rotating across ED areas as needed, with shifts including days, nights and weekends. BCLS-HCP and Alberta LPN/Ortho Tech credentials are required.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited LPN education program and active registration.
• Completion of an accredited Orthopaedic Technician program.
• Current BCLS-HCP certification.

Responsibilities

• Apply, adjust, and remove casts, splints and traction equipment for orthopaedic patients.
• Observe, monitor and document changes in patient status and care needs.
